on 21st Century Service for 320 Member Properties |
N. Hampton NH (April 21, 2004) -- The
New England Inns and Resorts Association, the oldest hotel professional
organization in the country, has just clarified its 21st century identity
and membership/marketing mission to move aggressively toward its Centennial
in 2007. The effort, which began last fall with a name change from
the New England Innkeepers Association. includes new promotional and website
resources to aid its growing member base which now includes 320 member
inns, B&B's, hotels and resorts distributed among all six New England
states.
Looking ahead to the Centennial by putting cross-marketing and e-commerce resources in place now, the New England Inns and Resorts Association unveiled a new logo and web identity at its Spring Conference at The Balsams recently, with the enthusiastic support of the attending members. The Association also introduced a new public relations firm -- Redpoint Marketing PR of New York and its NH partner Leading Edge -- at the Conference. They will be implementing a series of promotional partnerships and media themes to increase consumer awareness and to support and expand membership. The new logo portrays the sophisticated elegance of the member properties throughout New England. Members also welcomed the new website address, www.newenglandinnsandresorts.com as a clearer avenue for consumers seeking individualistic accommodations in any of the six New England states. The easily navigated site directs visitors to their choice of lodgings, arranged by state and by activity or interest. The visitor can sort member properties, ranging from downtown urban hotels, to full service resorts, to charming country inns, in a variety of ways. Want an inn with gourmet dining and an outdoor pool? Check those boxes. A golf resort with activities for children? Check here. Your own Vermont hideaway 'on golden pond'? It's in there, easily discovered with a few clicks of the mouse. A new design of the website launches in mid-May. Our members have told us that they expect the New England Inns and Resorts Association to help them increase revenues and introduce tools that help them manage and market their properties more effectively, said Beth Steucek, Executive Vice President of the Association. The new logo, the website and the invigorated public relations marketing effort demonstrate we're committed to accomplishing those objectives. |
