ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - April 27, 2004 - Destination Hotels & Resorts today announced it has entered into an agreement to manage The Richardson Hotel in the North Dallas, Texas "Telecom Corridor." The property, formerly known as the Omni Richardson Hotel, recently was purchased by one of Destination Hotels & Resorts' hospitality investment clients. Under DH&R management the hotel, opened in 1986, will undergo an $8 million renovation and will be repositioned as a distinctive, independent hotel.

The Richardson Hotel is the twenty-sixth property to join the growing collection of hotels and resorts in the DH&R portfolio.  Earlier this month, the company added Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe, Calif. to its group of distinctive properties.

"The Richardson Hotel is a great addition to our collection of properties," said Charles Peck, president and chief operating officer for Destination Hotels & Resorts. "Richardson, Texas is the second largest commercial business district in the greater Dallas area and home to the world's leading technology and telecommunications firms. Kathy Faulk Appointed General Manager

Kathy Faulk has been appointed general manager of The Richardson Hotel. Faulk, a recognized leader in the Richardson community, is well known for her innovative contributions both in the workplace and the greater Richardson community.

With more than 20 years of hospitality experience, Faulk brings an extensive industry background to The Richardson Hotel. She has been a general manager for nationally recognized hotel chains throughout her career. Most recently, she led the management of the 294-room Radisson Hotel in North Dallas. Her background also includes various aspects of hospitality management including operations, finance and accounting.

Faulk believes that community stewardship is an important part of her job. This philosophy was best recognized when US Congressman Peter Sessions recognized her with a Congressional Commendation for her work in developing a program with the Richardson Independent School District Transitions Program in 1996. This program was a partnership between a local hotel in the Richardson community and RISD that used the property as a training facility for developmentally challenged young adults.

She currently is on the board of directors for the Chamberlain Ballet and the Greater Dallas Hotel Association serving Richardson area hotels. Her past involvement includes the board of directors for the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, Network of Community Ministries in Richardson and the advisory board for Collin County Community College Hospitality Program.

Faulk lives in Dallas with her husband and two children. In addition to community activism, she enjoys participating in her children's sports and recreation activities, scuba diving, reading and the variety of fine arts offerings in Dallas.

Destination Hotels & Resorts is a privately held lodging management company located in Englewood, Colo.
