Top Design and Amenities

The hotel is situated amongst the lush landscape of the Birdland Golf & Country Club and offers more than 208 spacious rooms and suites furnished in three different room styles (�classic,� �retro� and �chilli�).  All rooms are equipped with direct-dial telephone, satellite television with pay channels, radio, coffee and tea-maker, trouser press, safe and hair dryer. The hotel�s modern 900 square foot conference area offers one sub-dividable room and four smaller conference rooms.  All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with the latest technology.

The resort was designed by London-based Wimberley Allison Tong & Goo (WATG) and a team of specialists with Hungarian architects Gábor Schinagl (KÖZTI Ltd.). The designers placed great emphasis on integrating the surrounding natural environs. This is exemplified by large panoramic windows featuring picturesque views.  The wellness area features Asian accents with glass mosaics.

Culinary Attractions

The Radisson SAS Birdland Resort & Spa also sets a high standard with its culinary offerings. Two restaurants and four bars satisfy the most discerning travelers. "Seasons," the main restaurant, has an inviting terrace offering scenic views of the golf course and serves a daily themed buffet.  Guests enjoy many choices with special spa and wellness menus, featuring seasonal salads and traditional dishes. "Laguna" restaurant features a Mediterranean motif, serving first-class Italian cuisine with fresh pastas and a large selection of fine wines.

Wellness Oasis

Six indoor pools (including a 65-foot-long sports pool), an open-air pool with a Caribbean pool bar, a glass-walled steam bath with views of the golf course, a variety of saunas and infrared cabins, tepidarium, frigidarium and an array of aromatherapy and cosmetic salons provide an inviting oasis of rest and relaxation. An aerobics room, fitness studio, tennis courts (opening summer 2004) and an almost endless choice of jogging and cycling options caters to the most active guest.

Golfing Unlimited

The Birdland Golf & Country Club offers a challenging 18-hole, 72-par golf course and is currently being expanded to include a 9-hole facility, an 18-hole putting green and a Golf & Tennis Academy.  First established in 1991, the golf course today enjoys global recognition as the Hungarian Championship course.  It is open to players with a handicap of 36.
