Terry O’Leary Appointed Senior Vice President, Asset
Management at Highland Hospitality Corporation

MCLEAN, VA, March 16, 2004 – Highland Hospitality Corporation (NYSE:HIH) announced the appointment of Terry O’Leary as Senior Vice President, Asset Management.  

Terry most recently served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Prime Hospitality Corp. in Fairfield, New Jersey where he spent the last nine years in franchising and food and beverage.  Prior to Prime Hospitality, Terry spent almost 25 years in other hospitality and food and beverage businesses.  “Terry brings a tremendous amount of lodging experience to Highland, and we are excited he is joining us.  He will have an immediate, positive impact on our asset management function,” stated James L. Francis, President & CEO of Highland Hospitality Corporation.

Highland Hospitality Corporation is a newly formed, self-advised lodging real estate investment trust, or REIT, focused on hotel investments primarily in the United States.  The Company currently owns seven hotel properties with an aggregate of 1,725 rooms in five states.
