Pacifica Hotel Company Acquires Half Moon Bay Lodge
SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 2004--The Half Moon Bay Lodge has been acquired from Woodside Hotels by Invest West Financial/Pacifica Hotel Company and will join Pacifica's existing group of Best Western properties. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Located on Highway 1 in the quaint Northern California coastal city of Half Moon Bay, The Half Moon Bay Lodge is an attractive hacienda-style hotel with 80 guest rooms, each overlooking the Arnold Palmer-designed Half Moon Bay Golf Links. The hotel, which has 3,600 square feet of meeting space, a heated pool, spa and fitness center with a sauna, draws business and leisure travelers primarily from the Bay Area and Silicon Valley.

Invest West and Pacifica intend to spend approximately $500,000 to upgrade and enhance the property, which will be Pacifica's 7th Best Western hotel. The others are Best Western Lighthouse, Pacifica; Best Western Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach, Cambria; Best Western Sunrise Inn, Redondo Beach; Best Western Jamaica Bay Inn, Marina del Rey; Best Western Blue Sea Lodge, Pacific Beach; and the Best Western Beverly Pavilion, Beverly Hills.
