JER Partners Acquires the Hilton Ontario Airport Hotel
for $30 million; Signs Long Term Management
Contract with Interstate Hotels & Resorts
ARLINGTON, Va., March 8, 2004 — Interstate Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: IHR) today announced that it has signed a long-term contract to manage the 309-room Ontario Airport Hilton in Ontario, Calif.  The hotel is owned by JER Partners, headquartered in McLean, Va.  The hotel shortly will undergo a $5.0 million renovation.
“This contract allows Interstate to expand its management portfolio in a strong, suburban Los Angeles sub-market,” said Steve Jorns, Interstate’s chief executive officer.  “Ontario is a steady growth market with diverse demand generators and a population growth rate greater than the state of California.  Following the renovation and implementation of our proprietary management and marketing systems, we believe the hotel will quickly become a market leader in this thriving location.”

The renovation will address the following areas: guestrooms, ballroom, meeting space and mechanical/engineering issues.
