.
WASHINGTON March 2, 2004 Marriott International (NYSE:MAR) today announced Jenni Drowley of the Portland Hillsboro TownePlace Suites Hotel as a recipient of its annual GMs of the Year award,  Warren Schatzle of the TownePlace Suites-Kennesaw hotel as a recipient of its annual GMs of the Year award and Vali Glover of the Toronto Mississauga/Meadowvale Canada Residence Inn Hotel as a recipient of its annual GM of the Year award

Jenni Drowley of the Portland Hillsboro TownePlace Suites Hotel, is constantly described by her staff and her peers as: consistent, inspirational, courageous, a leader by example, energetic, fun, always there for you and challenging.  She is highly successful at developing talent and demonstrates great caring for her team.  During a recent employee appreciation week, Drowley handwrote thank you notes to each of her staff and mailed them to their homes.  For her Spanish-speaking employees she wrote their notes in their native language.

Drowley keeps life at the hotel fun and successful.  To encourage her staff to provide guests with pleasant surprises that go above and beyond what most guests would expect at a hotel she created an incentive where associates earned raffle tickets for every surprise they delivered.

As a financial wiz, a sincerely warm guest service guru, a world-class service champion and a spirit to serve her community superstar, Drowley is a well deserved recipient of the award.

Warren Schatzle of the TownePlace Suites-Kennesaw was selected out of more than 100 general managers from across the United States, he has served as GM of the hotel for more than four years.  He helped hire the staff and open the property for Day Hospitality Group (DHG), the hotels owner and management company.

Warren is a dedicated, hard working man of integrity who has also developed a great team, said DHG president Fred Cerrone.  He focuses on the delivery of world-class service for his guests, celebrates victories with his team and volunteers in the community.  Last year, he personally booked over $100,000 worth of business to his hotel.

Members of Schatzles staff describe him as an expert who leads by example.  Warren exemplifies the qualities that make a great leader, added Cerrone.  He richly deserves this prestigious award.

Vali Glover of the Toronto Mississauga/Meadowvale Canada Residence Inn Hotel was selected out of more than 450 Residence Inn hotel general managers worldwide.  Glover has been GM at the Toronto Mississauga/Meadowvale Residence Inn hotel since 2001.

Marriotts GM of the year award is based on financial performance, guest satisfaction, and profit as well as notable personal accomplishments.  Glovers well honed skills of organization, efficiency, dedication, great communication and fun are instrumental in her hotels success.

In addition, her hotel was awarded Residence Inns prestigious Hotel of the Year award.  Glover and her team are also very involved in the community by supporting the Ontario Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals, and the local Streetsville Neighborhood Assistance Program.  They also open their hotel to local police and firefighters, who enjoy use of the hotels fitness center and pool.
