HERSHEY, PA, Feb. 25, 2004 � Hershey Entertainment
& Resorts Company and its board of directors have elevated two key
employees into newly created roles. Effective immediately, Kimberly K.
Schaller is Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer and Timothy R. Bugas
becomes Vice President of Sales.
The company-wide roles will streamline these leadership roles to affect the entire brand, according to Scott J. Newkam, Chairman, President and CEO, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company. �We�re always pleased to make special announcements of important posts, even more so since both these board-elected candidates are being promoted from within our own talent pool. Kim Schaller has a career of proven results as a marketing professional with our company and we�re pleased to know our branding efforts will be under her direction. Likewise Tim Bugas has a history of success with significant results at Hershey Resorts and brings a wealth of industry experience that will continue to enhance our sales and outreach initiatives,� Newkam notes. Schaller currently oversees the marketing responsibilities for the entire Company and its subsidiaries, including Hersheypark, Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex, The Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. In her new role, Schaller will maintain her former responsibilities as vice president of marketing � a role she held for seven years � and will additionally strategize and manage company-wide brand initiatives. A 16-year veteran of Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company, Schaller is one of the top marketing professionals in Pennsylvania. A recipient of both the �Top 40 Under 40� Award as well as the �Tribute to Women in the Industry Award,� she is the first and only female vice president of Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company. Her former positions include roles at Space Center Houston and Harrisburg�s PPO&S Advertising and Public Relations. She is a member of the boards of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), as well as The Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority. As Vice President of Sales, Bugas will be charged with managing and overseeing sales for the entire Company and its subsidiaries. Bugas began with the Company in 2001 as managing director of resorts sales for Hershey Resorts. He has held various director sales roles in the hospitality industry including at The Greenbrier and The Homestead. Bugas is a member of the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives and the New York Society of Association Executives. Schaller, her husband, Bill and daughter Carly reside in nearby Hummelstown; Bugas does as well, with wife Teresa and children Ryan, Matt and Sean.
