Ed Proenza Named General Manager of the 387-room
Hilton Long Beach Hotel & Executive Meeting Center

 
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., March 19, 2004 � Ed Proenza has been named general manager of the 387-room Hilton Long Beach Hotel & Executive Meeting Center located in Long Beach, California.  He reports to Glenn Hale, area vice president Los Angeles/Orange County/San Diego.

A 22-year hospitality veteran, Proenza joined the Hilton Family in 1999 as general manager at the Doubletree Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, Maryland where some of his accomplishments included overseeing the completion of the extensive room renovations at the hotel as well as opening the Executive Meeting Center facility.  Prior to joining Hilton, he held a series of executive level positions at various Marriott properties.

A native of Miami, Florida, Proenza received a bachelor of science degree in hotel, food and travel services from Florida International University.  

The Hilton Long Beach Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is located in downtown Long Beach, at only four blocks from the Long Beach Convention Center and within convenient walking and driving distance to numerous attractions in its immediate and surrounding areas.  The hotel is an IACC (International Association of Conference Centers) approved Executive Meeting Center facility and has twice earned Hilton Hotel�s Top Guest Service Award.  Guest rooms at this hotel offer all the comfort and conveniences expected from a luxury class hotel; well appointed accommodations, two line phones and data port, in room refreshment center, and web television.  Executive level rooms offer all this along with cordless telephones and CAIS high-speed internet access.
