Sonesta Chooses SynXis As its Full Reservation
Management and Distribution Partner

McLean, VA, and Boston, MA – February 24, 2004 - SynXis Corporation, a provider of reservation management and distribution systems for the hospitality industry, announced today that Sonesta Hotels, Resorts & Nile Cruises is in the final stages of adopting the SynXis Reservation Management System for all of their 27 properties and Nile cruise ships.  SynXis will provide Sonesta with a single image of inventory for its private label GDS chain codes (SO/SN), its Internet Distribution channels, and its global reservation call center.

The SynXis reservation system will allow all Sonesta Hotels to make real-time rate and availability changes for any of their properties worldwide from any location with Internet access. This direct control allows the hotels to quickly react to market changes, and implementing new promotions will be a breeze.  Sonesta will enjoy seamless connectivity to more electronic distribution channels than ever before, and will have the opportunity to strengthen their own branded website with multi-property search and guest profile capabilities.
“We did an apples-to-apples comparison of all of the reservation systems available in the marketplace,” said Carol Beggs, Vice President of Technology at Sonesta Hotels.  “In addition to finding an innovative product that met all of our needs today, it was important for us to find a company that would be a great fit with our corporate culture and would have the best underlying technology to enable them to grow with us in the future.  We can already see that we have found that with the team at SynXis.”

Sonesta has been in the business of owning, managing, designing, building, and marketing hotels throughout the world for over 50 years.  Each Sonesta property is uniquely designed to capture and reflect the essence and individuality of its location and surrounding culture.

“Along with its high standards of service and design, Sonesta is known in the industry for having extremely high expectations of its technology partners,” said Bernard Ellis, Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts for SynXis. “We look forward to exceeding Sonesta’s expectations and earning its much sought-after reference to fuel our continued growth.”
