SCOTTSDALE, AZ (October 8, 2003) - Victoria (Tori) McLaughlin has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the SunBurst Resort.  McLaughlin will be responsible for all sales and marketing efforts at the resort in effort to drive room-level sales and group business at this 210-room property, the only full-service resort in old-town Scottsdale.   She will also be instrumental in developing marketing plans unique to the hotel's needs in the market.

"We are delighted to have Tori as part of our team," said Dori Familiant, General Manager of the SunBurst Resort.  "Tori's knowledge, relationships and experience in the Southwest market will be invaluable to the resort."

Prior to this appointment, McLaughlin was Director of Sales and Marketing for the Millennium Resort Scottsdale, McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale, AZ.  In this position she was responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for the upscale, luxury resort, designing and implementing an effective promotional and marketing campaign to rebrand and reposition the resort.

McLaughlin started her career in the hospitality industry in 1994 as Sales and Catering Coordinator at the Millennium Resort Scottsdale, McCormick Ranch.  Since then, she has held positions as Catering and Conference Services Manager, Senior Catering and Conference Services Manager, Sales Manager, Associate Director of Sales and, since 2000, Director of Sales and Marketing during her 10-year career with the hotel.
