Oakbrook Hotels, Inc. Upgrading the Sheraton Cleveland
Airport Hotel, $3.5 million Renovation Underway
Cleveland, Ohio - (October 23, 2003) – The Sheraton Cleveland Airport Hotel knows how to keep their guests happy – by providing the amenities and services that are important to them.  Hotel officials announced plans today for the $3.5 million dollar renovation of all guestrooms beginning this October.
Installation of the new Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed in all 287 rooms will be a key component of the renovation and a noticeable benefit for guests. For many people, these beds may be more comfortable than whatever they’re sleeping on at home.

In addition to these beds, the updated rooms will feature oversized desks and new televisions, upholstered chairs, bed linens, carpet, curtains and wallpaper.  The guestrooms incorporate a contemporary design that will reflect a well-appointed residential home bedroom.  All rooms will offer high speed Internet access as well.

A new Concierge Lounge will also be relocated to the top floor of the hotel.  With a panoramic view of the airport, this room features one of the most commanding views in the city. The lounge will include a plasma screen television and high speed Internet access.

Renovation efforts reinforce the overall marketing strategy of Sheraton in upgrading the hotel with a new look and feel.  Improvements are designed to make the hotel more family, group and business-traveler friendly.
“As the only hotel on airport grounds, we already offer the most convenient location in the city,” said Cliff Lindemann, General Manager.  “Whether our guests are planning a meeting or are on vacation, our goal has always been to provide outstanding service and rooms designed to ensure guests can sleep a little easier.  Now, we can literally help them do that – on our new Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds.”

An ideal location for business and leisure travelers, the Sheraton Cleveland Airport Hotel offers 22,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, creative catered cuisine and executive business suites. Other services include a full service restaurant Amelia’s, room service, Cyber Café Lounge, business center, gift shop, fitness center, indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna.
