Simplifies On-The-Go Wi-Fi Pocket PC Printing
Kitchener, ON October 1, 2003: PrinterOn Corporations PocketWhere printing application for Pocket PC was tested to be compatible with Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC, Microsofts newest handheld operating system.

PocketWhere, combined with the new automatic Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) network discovery and configuration feature offered to all Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC users, makes it even easier for mobile professionals connected to the Internet to securely print documents. PocketWhere users can print any email, attachment, stored file, or Web page to any networked printer in the PrinterOn directory or fax to any fax machine.  Users can print to corporate printers, home printers and printers in public locations such as hotels and Wi-Fi hotspots.

With more and more people connected to Wi-Fi for wireless computing, it is easy to realize the benefits of on-the-road Pocket PC printing and faxing to get hard copies of critical documents, said Patrick Pidduck, PrinterOns Director of Product Management.

We continue to stay ahead of our competition by giving business travelers the services they need to stay productive while away from the office. The recent rollout of PrinterOns remote printing service at our hotel complements our Wi-Fi offering making it convenient for our guests connected to the Internet to print to the printer in our hotel business center, said Bill Leonhardt, general manager, Hilton Garden Inn Owings Mill, MD.

PocketWhere simplifies Pocket PC printing and faxing tasks by extending printing capabilities to the Pocket PC using standard desktop print controls. Additional features of PocketWhere for Pocket PC include searching for printers in real-time, accessing and printing from all mail folders and email boxes on the device (POP3, ActiveSync and IMAP), printing or faxing Web pages, and accessing and printing any file on the Pocket PC and its storage card.

PrinterOns wireless service for printing and faxing starts at $36 US/year. A 60-day Pocket PC trial is available at http://www.printeron.net/vfprint/devices/pocketpc.html
