Louis Sailer Appointed General Manager of Raffles Resort
at Canouan Island, The Grenadines

SINGAPORE, 30 October 2003 � Raffles International announces the appointment of Mr. Louis Sailer as General Manager of Raffles Resort at Canouan Island, The Grenadines. The luxury resort destination, scheduled to open in the summer of 2004, is set in its own private 1,200 acres of land and will feature one and two storey villas offering 156 luxurious accommodations with ocean views, an 18-hole championship grade golf course, a luxury Amrita spa, and four restaurants and bars.

Mr. Sailer has more than 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with the last 13 years spent working at luxury hotels and 5-Diamond resorts in the United States, Japan and Singapore. He joined Raffles International in 1997 as Executive Assistant Manager for its flagship Raffles Hotel, Singapore.

His responsibilities included the management of the hotel�s comprehensive food & beverage operations that covered 19 restaurants and bars, six banquet facilities, outside catering, a 338-seat Victorian Theatre and Asia�s premier cooking school, Raffles Culinary Academy. During his tenure, he also organised numerous Michelin Star guest chef promotions, vintner dinners and the prestigious gastronomic event, the Annual Raffles Wine & Food Experience. He was promoted to General Manager of Swissôtel Dalian, China in 2001. Prior to his appointment as General Manager of Raffles Resort at Canouan Island, Mr. Sailer led the pre-opening team at Swissôtel Nankai Osaka between April and September 2003.

Raffles Resort at Canouan Island, The Grenadines, which will be launched in the summer of 2004, is set in its own private 1,200 acres of land surrounded by green hills, secluded white beaches and the sea of southern Antilles. Designed by famous Italian architect Luigi Vietti, this resort�s one- and two-storey villas offer 156 luxurious accommodations with an ocean view. Raffles Resort Canouan Island, The Grenadines will feature an 18-hole championship-grade golf course designed by Jim Fazio, a 929 square metre (10,000 square feet) luxury Amrita spa, private yacht mooring, a beachfront pool and jacuzzi, and four restaurants and bars. Near the resort and overlooking the sea is a European-style casino, which will be managed by a world-class casino operator. The Moorings Ltd has also since 2002 established its luxury charter boat operations on Canouan Island.
