Retirement Reception Set for Two Hospitality Technology

Austin, Texas; October 31, 2003 - A retirement reception will be held for two major players in the development of hospitality technology, Larry Chervenak, CHAE, and Joyce Christmas. Since the early '70s, Chervenak and Christmas have contributed to the industry by writing and consulting on current trends in hospitality technology through the firm Chervenak, Keane and Co. The reception will be held at the Jacob K.Javits Convention Center in Room 1B04 in New York City on Monday, November 10 from 1-2:15 p.m. Friends and colleagues are invited.

Chervenak served as president of the consulting firm Chervenak, Keane and Co. He was a catalyst for the first Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) in 1972, as well as a 1989 inductee to the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame. Christmas served as vice president of the company.  She has authored numerous industry articles published in the CKC Report, HFTP's The Bottomline and others. Christmas is also a published author of mystery novels. 

In lieu of a retirement gift, the friends of Larry and Joyce are requesting that contributions be made to help offset enormous medical expenses incurred by the pair.  If you would like to contribute, please bring checks payable to "The Larry Chervenak, Joyce Christmas Trust," or you may mail them to:
