-'s ResHero Users See
Room Nights Jump Over 400%
SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- December 11, 2003 - TravelHero, a leading online lodging specialist and full service travel agency, announced significant growth in its proprietary freesale hotel product, ResHero. From 2002 to date, the percentage growth of properties using ResHero is 121% and the percentage of increase in room nights booked is 401%, demonstrating industry acceptance and market penetration.

ResHero is's freesale application that allows lodging properties big and small to sell their inventory over the Distribution Network with no segment fees as are required when using Global Distribution Systems. Through the ResHero system, lodging properties have real-time capability to sell room inventory on's distribution network of over 800 websites. At all times, hoteliers have
complete control over the rates and availability. The maintenance is real-time through an easy to use web-based interface.

When a property lists with ResHero, it is displayed on the
Distribution Network with a green checkmark next to its name. This symbol signifies to potential guests that the property gives instant availability and confirmation.  That designation is very important to the increasingly savvy web user.

Kelly Guinn, Director of Sales & Marketing of the Anabella Hotel & Carousel Inn & Suites in Anaheim, CA said, “It is a pleasure to work with ResHero and to have the ease of direct line bookings from consumers.  As an independent property, this is a feature we must have.  The room nights booked through the ResHero System have been more than any of us thought we would receive.”

G. Matthew Johnson, TravelHero CEO expressed it differently.

“ResHero is a no-brainer for independent properties. It offers increased distribution at lower costs to over 2.5 million TravelHero monthly visitors.”  Johnson added that “we expect to see more properties, especially those not currently participating in online distribution, to use ResHero for inventory distribution. The fact that it is not a Net Rate model also makes it very popular with hoteliers.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ResHero? ResHero is a revolutionary new freesale system that allows any lodging property worldwide the ability to accept confirmed online reservations instantly, even without a web site or computer. Through a simple web-based interface, hotel operators worldwide can designate inventory to the ResHero system for sale on the Internet.

How are rates controlled? You have total control of your rates at all times. You will start by setting your weekday and weekend rack rate for each room. You can modify the rate for every day it changes. Flexibility means you can change your rates for any timeframe. For example, if your rates are higher on a holiday weekend, simply designate it so. The system is easy to use plus you can update your rates at any time.

When I designate inventory, do I lose it forever? No. Our system is extremely flexible. You can add or remove inventory at any time.

Do I need a computer or Internet access? Yes. You can designate inventory to be placed into the ResHero database maintained in Arizona. This allows visitors to, or any of our hundreds of partner web sites, to search your property for availability on their travel nights. If a reservation is made, you receive a fax confirmation of the reservation within minutes, including the guest's name, contact information, and credit card guarantee. At the same time, the guest is receiving an email confirmation of the reservation they've made. You designate your own cancellation policy, and in the event they must cancel their reservation, it is the guest's responsibility to conform to that policy to avoid charges to their credit card.

Where do potential hotel guests find my property? Everywhere! and our distribution network have about 2.5 million unique visitors every month and that number is growing.

Will my hotel be highlighted in the listings? Yes. All ResHero properties are highlighted in our city listings with a green checkmark to the right of the property names. Visitors know that your property gives instant availability, rates, and confirmations.

Does it work? Yes! Within hours of signing up for ResHero, many properties have received reservations through the system. Although we can't guarantee you will have the same results, we can show you proof positive that instant confirmations increase sales.
