The Pattillo Companies Complete Suite Expansion at
112-room Hampton Inn-Stone Mountain, Georgia
.
ATLANTA (September 2, 2003) Day Hospitality Group (DHG) held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony recently for the 112-room Hampton Inn-Stone Mountain, 1737 Mountain Industrial Boulevard, Stone Mountain, GA to celebrate the addition of 17 suites, the renovation of the hotels public areas and meeting space, and the addition of amenities including a business center, free high speed Internet service and a lobby Suite Shop (convenience store).  Robert Bilka serves as the General Manager; Tyrone Shannon is the Assistant General Manager.

Developed and owned by The Pattillo Companies, the Hampton Inn first opened its doors in December 1991. Day Hospitality Group came on board to manage the property in February of 2002.  When it opened, the hotel featured only one suite used occasionally for hospitality with meetings.  Recently, market demand from both business and leisure travelers created the need for a number of suites plus new technical amenities in the meeting rooms, the new business center and in the guest rooms.

Guests in the Stone Mountain area of Atlanta request suites for both business and leisure, said Fred Cerrone, President of DHG.  Weve updated the hotels floor plan to include 17 spacious suites and weve set our hotel apart with free high speed Internet access and other amenities to exceed our guests expectations.  Were also proud of our outstanding customer service that has won numerous industry awards.

The hotel features three meeting rooms that can be arranged in a variety of configurations to accommodate needs.   Each room is outfitted with LCD projector, TV/VCR, Overhead and wireless Internet access.  An additional hospitality suite can be rented individually or used in connection with the attached sleeping room.

The additions will meet a definite need in the market, said General Manager Robert Bilka.  Expanded amenities include two-line phones with desktop high-speed Internet access, 5-disc compact disc players, DVD/VCR players, 32 televisions, coffee makers and hair dryers. Suites include microwaves and refrigerators.  Two of the rooms feature roll-in showers designed for the handicapped.   In addition to the new business centers, hotel renovations include new carpet and wall coverings in the public areas and a new fitness center with two treadmills and stationary bike.

The hotel also features an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool spa, a computer, phone and facsimile/printer in the business center, plus copy service, free local phone calls and expanded 72-channel cable TV.  A complimentary deluxe continental breakfast is available each morning in the lobby breakfast room. The public areas feature living-room ambiance complete with comfortable chairs in front of a large stone fireplace.

Day Hospitality Group (DHG) is an Atlanta-based full-scale management, development and consulting firm specializing in the select-service lodging segment of the hotel industry.
