Leading Hotels of the World Accepts Seven
Sol Melia Hotels to its Membership

Membership has been granted to the
Gran Meliá Cancún and Gran Meliá Fénix 

August 2003 - The exclusive �Leading Hotels of the World� has approved the addition of 2 new hotels operated by Sol Meliá to its membership. The Gran Meliá Cancún (Mexico) and the Gran Meliá Fénix (Madrid, Spain) have both successfully completed the rigorous product and service quality audits required to be a Leading 

Hotel. The Paradisus Puerto Rico, scheduled to open at the end of 2003, is also expected to become a Leading Hotel in the very near future.

After the incorporation in 2002 of the Gran Meliá Salinas (Lanzarote, Spain), the Gran Meliá Bahía del Duque (Tenerife, Spain), the Gran Meliá México Reforma (Mexico City, Mexico), the Gran Meliá Caracas (Venezuela) and the Paradisus Playa Conchal (Guanacaste, Costa Rica), there are now 7 Sol Meliá hotels that are members of the �Leading Hotels of the World�, testimony to the enormous efforts made by Sol Meliá to provide superior
