Selects the Synxis Booking Engine |
and provide a single point of entry to all distribution channels. MCLEAN, VA- June 18, 2003 - SynXis, a leading provider of reservation management and distribution systems for the hospitality industry, along with the New England Innkeepers Association (NEIA), announced today their partnership to provide NEIA member hotels with real-time reservation capabilities. SynXis is powering hotel reservations on the NEIA site (newenglandinns.com), allowing visitors to view property information, room rates and availability, and to book secure, real-time reservations at over 350 hotels in New England. Using the SynXis interface, visitors can search for available properties based on several criteria including location, size and amenities. By taking advantage of the SynXis Control Center as a single point of channel management, the member hotels can also connect to SynXiss other distribution channels including GDS, IDS, Voice and Book-A-Rez to power their own hotel web site. According to Beth Steucek, executive vice president of NEIA, "We selected SynXis for this project because we were impressed with their new booking engine. Its functionality meets all of our needs and the look and flow makes it simple for guests to book. We are encouraging our members to take advantage of all of the SynXis channels so we can have representation on the popular consumer sites such as Travelocity and Orbitz. "We're proud to be part of this new phase for the NEIA, said Gregory Hopkins, national sales director for SynXis. Not only are they creating a great portal but they are giving their members the opportunity to offer their inventory through additional distribution using a single point of entry."
