LONDON, UK – 21 April 2003 – Molinaro Koger announced today that Simon Allison, former Finance Director of Hospitality Europe BV, a leading European property hotel company, has joined the firm as Vice President and will be based at the firm’s European headquarters in London.

During his tenure with Hospitality Europe, Mr. Allison assisted the company in expanding its portfolio through acquisitions of first-class luxury hotel properties in Germany, France, the Czech Republic and Belgium. Mr. Allison succeeded both in raising new equity and debt for its growth strategy and in negotiating and closing US$ 425 million of acquisitions.

Previous to his work with Hospitality Europe, Mr. Allison spent 10 years at J.P. Morgan where he ran the European hotel and leisure advisory team. He worked on the defense of Forte hotels from Granada's hostile bid (forcing an increase in the price of US $1 billion), the landmark privatization of Pannonia, a leading Hungarian hotel group; the acquisition by Prince Alwaleed and J.P. Morgan of 40% of Movenpick hotels; the purchase by Sheraton of the Park Lane hotel in London; the acquisition by Accor of Red Roof Inns; and the raising of significant private equity by Hospitality Europe, before he left to join them. Simon has a first class honours degree in Modern History from Oxford University.

“We are highly enthusiastic about Simon joining Molinaro Koger,” said Rob Koger, President of Molinaro Koger.  “Simon’s connections within European investment banking will serve him and our clients well in this role. He has been involved in billions of dollars of hotel transactions in recent years.  His highly regarded reputation, comprehensive knowledge of the industry and broad contact base will make an enormous contribution to Molinaro Koger and our clients.”

“I have enormous respect for Molinaro Koger and I am extremely pleased to joining a dynamic firm comprised of very talented individuals who are profoundly committed to their clients,” said Mr. Allison.  “The resources which MK provides will enable me to market assets effectively throughout the world.”

Mr. Allison joins Eric Kudlak, Managing Director Europe, and Jose Rihan, Vice President, at MK’s London office.
