| Colorado Springs, December 4, 2002; Marcia Spenst,
CHA is the recipient of the 2002 Hotelier of the Year award given by the
Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA). The award
was given at the CH&LA annual conference, held at The Broadmoor Resort
November 18-20, 2002. The association has honored Spenst with the
prestigious annual award for her invaluable participation, and overall
contribution to the growth of the Colorado hospitality industry.
As the General Manager of East West Resorts in Keystone, Marcia lead CH&LA as its chairperson in 2001 and 2002, and has served on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and several committees within CH&LA over the past 12 years. She, like many hoteliers, has worked within every aspect of the industry and has learned from the bottom up. Her new role with East West is as Associate Broker for East West Real Estate selling throughout the Summit County area. East West Resorts is a leader in offering mountain & beach vacations and property management. Within each of the markets we serve, there is a local, dedicated team.
