L'Auberge de Sedona Renovation Features Refurbishment
of Intimate Oak Creek Cottages in Arizona's
Red Rock Country
August 21, 2002 - The 33 intimate cottages at L'Auberge de Sedona, considered the most romantic accommodations in Sedona's spectacular red rock country, are undergoing a complete refurbishment, scheduled for completion in September.

Twenty-one cottage refurbishments were completed August 1.
 

L'Auberge de Sedona brings a French touch to Arizona's red rock country.
Spread throughout eleven acres in the creek-side canyon, L'Auberge's secluded cottages, two restaurants, and a handsome 22-room Lodge make for a romantic weekend or retreat for any occasion.

These cottages, nestled along the banks of the rushing creek amid lush grass and leafy trees, are designed as mini log cabins with private covered porches and stone wood-burning fireplaces.

The new design ambience, created by WolfDesign of Chicago, blends classic and traditional design influences of the American and French Southwest in hues of soft browns and blues.

With new lighting, wood plank floors and custom designed rugs, new furniture and fabrics, new exposed beam ceilings, 


There are 32 one and two bedroom Cottages with fireplaces, private decks and canopied King size beds. Each unit features custom decor with fabrics from Tarascon in France. 
new bathrooms and fireplaces, the charming character of L'Auberge has been preserved while keeping its renowned intimacy and peaceful environs.

In addition to the cottages' refurbishment, L'Auberge de Sedona will begin a renovation of its Lodge, to be completed between December and January. Each of the 20 rooms and 2 Junior Suites will be refurbished to reflect the design elements of the cottages. Meeting and banquet space in the Lodge will also be expanded.

"We wanted to update the interiors of the cottages and the lodge to reflect the quiet elegance and tranquility of our special environs," said Marcos Casillas, General Manager of L'Auberge de Sedona.

This elegantly rustic inn also offer the cuisine of famed chef Mark May, formerly of Louis Quinze and executive chef of some of Manhattan's finest restaurants: La Colombe d'Or and May We. He came to L'Auberge de Sedona three years ago from Amelia's Court in Paris, Kentucky where he was Chef/Owner. L'Auberge also has its own cellar master at its restaurant who keeps a collection of over 800 wines, including rare vintages, as well as wines from some of the world's most sought after vineyards.
