NORTHWIND Announces Two–Way GDS and
Internet Travel Portal Integration through
Newtrade Technologies Inc.
NORTHWIND’s Maestro PMS solution to increase its customers’ RevPAR

MARKHAM, ON - December 18, 2001– NORTHWIND, a leader in providing an array of software solutions to the hospitality market, is proud to announce the development of a two-way interface between its Maestro Property Management Solution and Newtrade Technologies’ network GDS environment.
 
Newtrade Technologies’ GDS (Global Distribution Systems) connectivity will provide NORTHWIND’s customers with the tools to efficiently maximize their business by having access to a wide range of online distribution channels, ranging from direct GDS connectivity to travel portals and online travel agencies. “We are happy to have formed a relationship with NORTHWIND since they bring a wealth of PMS knowledge, along with an advanced system, to the hotel marketplace. Maestro’s on-line real-time GDS reservation engine, called Maestro GDS+, will provide Maestro users the opportunity to increase their property’s room revenue and reduce labour costs within their reservation department.  “We see this interface as offering a tremendous advantage to our customers in order to exploit the benefits of GDS’s and travel portal reservations.  This will allow properties to sign up on as many GDS’s as they want without having to worry about room allotments, while taking complete advantage of Maestro’s Yield Management capabilities”, stated Warren Dehan, President, NORTHWIND.
