Travellers also have the option to request a weekly Email update from TravelWeb with the current listing of the Click-it! Weekends hotels and rates.

TravelWeb (http://www.travelweb.com) is the one year old Internet travel site where anyone in the world can make reservations for hundreds of airlines and thousands of hotels. Click-it! Weekends, which is a special discount section on TravelWeb that changes weekly, has now expanded to Europe with the addition of Inter-Continental and Forum hotels and resort's European properties. First thing Tuesday morning a group of Inter-Continental's European hotels are listed with discounted rates of up to 50 per cent for the coming weekend. The hotels change weekly, and offer the lowest rates published anywhere. Rates are only applicable for the following weekend.

"It's quick and simple," said Mike Stajdel, senior vice president of marketing and sales, Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts, "you have to click on the Click-it! Weekends icon in TravelWeb to find all the European Inter-Continental hotels we are discounting for that weekend.

"In only three clicks, users can choose one of our hotels and securely book their room on-line, with their confirmation number appearing instantly.

"Although only our European hotels are currently participating in Click-it! Weekends programme, all of our Inter-Continental, Forum and Global Partner hotels and resorts in 70 countries can be researched and reserved on-line in TravelWeb.

"Inter-Continental is experiencing more than 150,000 visits to its web site each month of which leisure travel enquiries and bookings are the most active. Click-it! Weekends provides a consumer friendly product to the growing number of internet users," added Mike Stajdel.

John F. Davis III, Pegasus Systems' chief executive officer, said: "Expanding our premier Internet hotel discount programme to Europe was a natural, considering that more than 30 per cent of TravelWeb's bookings are coming from travellers in more than 110 countries outside the US.

"TravelWeb is a perfect example of the Internet's impact on the growth of global electronic commerce. "TravelWeb is the perfect `one-stop' travel Web site for the `book-it-yourself-traveller'," he said. "TravelWeb is quick, real-time and accurate. Users can zip through the system and book a flight or hotel room in minutes if need be."
