June 06--DHAKA -- The "miracle survivor" of Bangladesh's deadly building collapse announced Thursday that she has accepted a new job at the five-star Westin hotel in Dhaka.

"The atmosphere at the factory I worked for could not be compared with the hotel. I feel good to be with the Westin hotel," Reshma Begum told reporters.

The 19-year old seamstress survived for 17 days in the rubble of Dhaka's eight-storey Rana Plaza garment factory after it collapsed on April 24, killing 1,129 people and injuring 2,500 others.

Westin Dhaka, part of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts chain, offered her a job as a public ambassador in the housekeeping department.

"I feel proud that we could provide Reshma with a job at the hotel," said the Mohammad Noor Ali, the hotel's managing director.
