The conference center includes the Grand Auditorium, an opulent turn-of-the-last-century building with 40-foot vaulted ceilings, high double-arched windows and polished wood floors.  The auditorium uniquely captures the elegance of an early 20th-century theater with an elevated proscenium stage, upstage, heavy curtains, and theatrical lighting � but with 21st century advanced multimedia capabilities.    

The second building, the Director�s Mansion, is architecturally designed according to the Prairie style popularized by Frank Lloyd Wright.  This elegant building combines the serenity, horizontal lines, and use of natural materials that so characterized the Prairie style.  

Both conference center buildings were constructed following the devastating 1906 San Francisco earthquake that destroyed the original campus.  Other building designs on the architecturally significant campus, which is included in the National Register of Historic Places, include Renaissance Revival, Beaux Arts, Arts & Crafts, and the Mission style.

In addition to managing the new facility, Benchmark Hospitality will provide complete conference and audiovisual services for the Sun Santa Clara Conference Center.
