21 Destination Marketing Organizations Have Partnered with WorldRes.com to Attract and Retain Online Customers
SAN MATEO, Calif. - April 12, 2000- WorldRes.comTM, an online hotel distribution network for leisure travel, has entered into agreements with 21 destination marketing organizations (DMOs) in the United States and Canada. 

The latest destination partners include:
 

  • Travel Technology Cooperative Association of British Columbia, which represents nine destination marketing organizations, including the British Columbia Lodging & Campgrounds Association and British Columbia and Yukon Hotels� Association
  • Metropolitan Tucson (AZ) Convention & Visitors Bureau

  • Yosemite Sierra (CA) Visitors Bureau

  • Greater Boston (MA) Convention & Visitors Bureau
  • Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism 
  • Pinehurst (NC) Area Convention & Visitors Bureau

  • Black Hills (SD) Central Reservations

The WorldRes.com system is open to any property, regardless of size, ensuring that all member properties are able to participate.  Properties join WorldRes.com for free and pay a transaction fee only for reservations received.

In addition, properties are able to offer real-time, confirmed reservations through the WorldRes.com network of distribution partners, including major Web portals such as AOL, Yahoo! and Lycos as well as travel, activity and special interest partners.  WorldRes.com distribution partners receive a portion of the transaction fee paid by hotels.
