Mr. H.P. Rama, CEO of JHM Hotels and Dr. Thomas Barton, President of Greenville Technical College announced at the groundbreaking ceremony a unique alliance between the college and JHM Hotels.  Greenville Tech students in the hospitality program can earn course credits for work performed at The Courtyard in conjunction with JHM University.
 

JHM University is being formed as a learning center for new general managers and assistant general managers that join JHM Hotels and will be based at the new Courtyard. JHM employees may also continue their education in the hospitality field through courses at Greenville Tech even if they do not live in Greenville.  Both JHM University and Greenville Technical College are working together to build meaningful curriculum and internships for the students participating in this program. Other dignitaries and tourism officials participating in the ground breaking ceremony were George Fletcher, Chairman of The Greenville Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Chris Stone, President of the Greenville Convention & Visitors
