 The Lausanne EURHOTEC Tradeshow Attracted 75 Exhibitors, 1,000 attendees; EURHOTEC 2001 Scheduled for 
February 19-21 in Paris
Rockville, MD�February 24, 2000 � CynterShow today announced that the three-day educational conference that it produced for the fifth annual EURHOTEC tradeshow, the European Hospitality Show and Conference, Lausanne, Switzerland from February 16-18, 2000 at the Beaulieu Congress and Exhibition Centre was a resounding success.  Early show evaluations show that more than 85 percent of attendees gave the sessions they attended positive remarks. 

The EURHOTEC educational conference featured major keynote speakers including Jim Sappington, Assistant Vice President, Global IT Services for McDonald�s Corporation; Scott Heintzeman, VP of Knowledge Technologies, Carlson Hospitality Worldwide; and Arthur Esch, well known technology expert. 

In partnering with IH&RA to manage the educational program, CynterShow leveraged its experience managing the educational conference of FS/TEC, the U.S.-based tradeshow and conference. CynterShow UK also recently launched another tradeshow and exhibition--HOSTEC 2000-- to serve the technology sector in the hospitality, foodservice and catering industries in the UK.  It will take place in London April 11-13, 2000 and includes both an educational conference program and exhibition.

More than 60 technology experts headed the three-day conference program, with 75 exhibitors showcasing their hi-tech products and services. That�s a very high concentration of knowledge and experience which translates into great educational value and profit potential for all attendees.

EURHOTEC 2000 took place in Lausanne, Switzerland from February 16-18, 2000 at the Beaulieu Congress and Exhibition Centre. More than 1,000 people attended the show, from over 50 countries,  including more than 75 major technology-based suppliers to the hospitality industry. 
 
 

HOSTEC, UK�s First IT Focused Event for the Hospitality, Foodservice 
and Catering Industries, Scheduled for London, 11­13 April 2000
London, England and Rockville, MD�February 24, 2000--The UK�s first IT focused event for the hospitality, foodservice and catering industries, HOSTEC, announced today that Thomas R. Oliver, Chairman and CEO of Bass Hotels and Resorts; Andrew G. Guy, Divisional Managing Director, City Centre Restaurants; and John C. Dvorak, Technology Columnist and Editor of PC Magazine will headline as keynote speakers at the Wembley Conference & Exhibition Centre, London, 11­13 April 2000.

These high profile speakers will address and review latest trends, highlight successful working practices and give an insight into technological developments of the future.  Key sessions have been specially developed to provide visitors with a one-stop update of all the key IT issues facing the hospitality, foodservice and catering industries today.

Following the plenary sessions, delegates are provided with the opportunity to select from a programme of 36 conference sessions which are spread over three days focusing primarily on four themed tracks: hotel industry, foodservice industry, general technological trends and case studies. The four different tracks will run concurrently three times a day, allowing delegates to tailor their learning to their own specific environment.

This new style of conference will offer exclusive access to case studies of products and systems.  AROMA, ClubCorp, Jury Doyle Hotel Group, and Whitbread Restaurants will join other key industry players to present detailed and in-depth case studies. Topics will include Web-based applications, e-procurement with stock control, profiting from technology and executive information systems.
