Whittier Hilton Hotel Now Managed by
Richfield Hospitality Services

Whittier, CA - July 1999 - Richfield Hospitality Services has been selected to manage the 202-room Whittier Hilton hotel, a full-service property serving southeast Los Angeles.

Our new relationship with the Whittier Hilton is especially rewarding because its a direct result of our performance with a Hilton property under the same ownership, said Richfield president and CEO Thomas OLeary.  Also, its a good opportunity for us to demonstrate that whether the hotel is a national brand or independent, Richfield is a great option for owners who want to partner with a management group that focuses on more than creating a good spin for next quarters report.

The new Whitter Hilton agreement was signed in conjunction with a contract renewal with the Pleasanton Hilton, owned by the same hotel group.  Drawing from experience gained as a management contractor for 20 national brands, Richfield brings proven performance resources to the Whittier Hilton, said OLeary.

Whether performance increases are a result of sales, property accounting, human resources, or manager information services, were confident our management teams and systems can improve the financial results for any hotel in the country, whether the hotel is branded or independent, said OLeary.

In addition to hands-on managerial services, Richfield offers services such as cash management and insurance procurement, which can lower property costs.

Richfields global sales resources also were a factor in the Whittier Hiltons choice,
O Leary noted.

As a property owner, Richfield is steeped in the discipline of ownership.  Its a perspective that serves our clients well, OLeary said.

Located near Whittier College and historic Uptown Village, the Whittier Hilton is convenient to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood and Knotts Berry Farm.  In addition to serving guests with an award-winning restaurant and lounge, outdoor heated pool, spa and exercise facility, the hotel also includes 7,500 square feet of meeting space.

Richfield Hospitality Services is a multifaceted hospitality company specializing in full-service hotel management.  Headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, the company has management contracts with more than 50 hotels throughout the U.S.

Within the Richfield portfolio are the North American hotels of Regal Hotels International, including The Regal Bostonian Hotel, which recently underwent $13.5 expansion of guest rooms and suites. Also, Richfields Sceptre Hospitality Resources division is the nations leading electronic reservations service for independent hotels. Richfield Hospitality Services operates more than 50 hotels nationwide, in addition to owning and operating 13 landmark Regal Hotels International properties in North America, including the Regal U.N.
