| It might sound odd to describe anywhere so centrally located as a hideaway,
yet that is precisely the atmosphere the Great Eagle Hotel exudes. The
hotel has 487 spacious rooms and suites, but the decor, the tranquility
and the high standards of personalised service are reminiscent of a quiet
European boutique hotel, quite unlike the impersonal style of most large

style. Above the reception area is a stunning modern glass sculpture called
�sea forms� by the award-winning American visual artist Dale Chihuly.
The adjacent Lobby Lounge provides a cosy yet contemporary ambience
for guests to sit and take in the stylish, relaxing atmosphere. A fully
equipped state-of-the-art business centre is located on the ground floor
next to the hotel reception and its extensive facilities are complemented
by crafted marble, wood inlays and leather sofas.
The Great Eagle Hotel offers a superb Ballroom as well as Botticelli,
Bernini, Raphael and Michaelangelo function rooms, which as their names
suggest recreate a setting of understated elegance. Subtly finished timber
panels and soft silk walls contrast with rich custom-patterned carpets
in black, gold and burgundy. The Ballroom is flexibly designed so that
it can be divided into smaller areas for any scale of meeting, seminar,
exhibition or dinner.
The hotel�s 462 spacious rooms and 25 suites are comfortably and stylishly
furnished to reflect the theme of the public areas and are well equipped
with the latest amenities including a state-of the-art safety and security
system, electronic bedside console to control all room features including
air-conditioning, lights, clock and TV screening of messages, marble bathrooms
with separate shower and deep bathtub and three telephones including two
with hands-free speaker facility.
The hotel�s Club Floor Rooms also feature gold bathroom fixtures, towel
bathrobes and electrically-controlled curtains and a private in-room fax
machine. Suites also have jacuzzis and televisions in both the lounge and
the bedroom area. Club floor and suite guests also have access to the Club

The Great Eagle has retained and enhanced two restaurants from the former
Hong Kong Renaissance Hotel which have enjoyed a longstanding reputation

and seafood in Hong Kong in a smart casual wood-panelled ambience.
T�ang Court, meanwhile, now serves an even wider selection of authentic
Chinese culinary delicacies. The décor reflects the splendours of
the T�ang Dynasty, often characterised as the Golden Age in Chinese history.
Graceful silks with a gold accent and contemporary sculptures adorn the
walls while a dramatic spiral staircase leads up to five private dining
rooms named after famous T�ang Dynasty poets � Tai Bai, Le Tian, Zi Shou,
