ROSWELL, GA. - October 18, 1998 - Environmental
Consulting Group (ECG) has launched two new programs that analyzes and
evaluates the physical qualities of hotels.
From a guest perspective, ECG's basic and comprehensive Hotel Facilities
Analysis programs evaluate both the real and perceived value of a property's
physical facilities. Because hotel guests believe (or want to believe)
that they receive value for a hotel stay that is greater than the amount
actually spent, hoteliers must maintain levels of quality that correspond
to or exceed their room rates. ECG's Hotel Facilities Analysis programs
provide an independent and objective method to determine the quality of
individual properties, from economy inns to luxury destination resorts.
The quantitative report generated by the programs' findings offers guidelines
for hotel improvements, development of renovation budgets and/or allocation
of resources.
The need for ECGs analysis programs is simple. Customers start
forming impressions of their hotel, both positive and negative, before
ever reaching their room. During their stay, they continue to form their
impressions as they experience their hotels interior and exterior environments.
Their impressions are based primarily on their observations.
Management and staff, familiar with the property, do not and can not
see their hotel in the same way their guests observe it because of their
familiarity with the property. With ECGs analysis programs, hotel
owners/management get a quantitative guest impression of their facility
plus an outline of recommendations to improve their hotels quality level.
