BEVERLY HILLS, Calif - June 17, 1998--Bethany Ellis has been named director -- corporate employee relations and recruitment for Hilton Hotels Corporation. Ellis most recently worked through HR Only as director of human resources for Cimm's Inc. in Los Angeles.

In her new role, Ellis is responsible for directing and ensuring the efficient administration and management of the human resources function including recruitment, counseling, statutory compliance and the execution of employee relations activities. She also provides each department with the personnel, guidance and support necessary to achieve its customer service and business objectives and is responsible for the design and implementation of company-wide human resources initiatives and policies. Ellis reports to Molly McKenzie-Swarts, vice president -- employment and compensation.

Ellis began her professional career 1993 as human resources coordinator for Sony Development in Burbank, California where her responsibilities included researching, integrating and interpreting human resources policies and benefits of three Sony corporations and working with executive staff on compliance, labor law and hiring and termination policies. She also negotiated fees and interfaced with temporary and recruiting firms, coordinated employee benefits, training and recruitment.

Ellis earned a bachelor of arts degree in drama from Bennington College in Vermont and completed the human resources management certificate program at the Learning Tree  University in Chatsworth, California. She is a member of the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA.)
