Entirety PMS from Ramesys

May 4, 2005 - The Sebasco Harbor Resort has been welcoming guests since 1930. Although many things have changed over the years, the most important things have remained the same, namely warm Maine hospitality and gracious attention from friendly staff. At the Sebasco Harbor Resort, traditions are respected and individuals are valued. 

A haven for all, outdoor enthusiasts, families, couples, and business groups, the focus at the Resort has always been on understanding their valued guests� habits and preferences and catering to them. In keeping with these goals, the Sebasco Harbor Resort, a long time Ramesys customer with their legacy solution, ImagInn, has recently switched to the full Entirety Enterprise suite for Windows consisting of the Entirety Front Office, e-Res Internet Booking Engine, Entirety CRM and Integrated Sales and Catering module from Kinetics, Kx. 

The combination and integration between these modules will enable all staff members at the Sebasco Habor Resort better access to crucial guest information to achieve even greater levels of customer service. The automation of both the sales and catering departments was also in line with Sebasco�s goal of simplifying and improving the efficiency of the management and marketing of their group and wedding business. 

"We are very excited to start off the season with Entirety and Kx. We have been booking all of our meeting space and weddings manually. When the details changed, which they do, it was a nightmare to update every piece of paper and make sure the correct information went to all the appropriate people. Being able to access and circulate this information electronically will save an immense amount of time, effort and reduce the possibility for mistakes! Kx will greatly improve the way we handle meeting space and weddings. This season alone we already have 30 weddings planned," said Jamey Kitchen, general manager at Sebasco Harbor Resort.

Another of the key concerns of the Sebasco Resort was to take better advantage of the internet and provide an integrated real time booking engine that enhanced their web site and was easy for new and repeat guests to use. The Entirety e-Res booking engine will offer customers the option to book direct but still be recognized for their valued patronage.

On the Entirety Solution from Ramesys as a whole, Kitchen continued, "One of the things that tipped the scales in Ramesys� favor when we were looking at new systems was the fact that they offered an integrated approach to PMS and sales and catering software that operated from the same system. It was also essential that we upgraded the system to incorporate web reservations. The training that Ramesys provided has been excellent. The staff picked up the system with ease � it helped that they are familiar with Excel and Word." The Entirety CRM module allows for easy query of all information in the property database for easy export into excel or word for marketing and statistical purposes. 

History of the Sebasco Harbor Resort 

Sebasco Harbor Resort has a very rich and colorful past built between 1909-1912. Much of the charm of Sebasco has been retained over the years. Many original pieces of furniture still grace the accommodations and public areas of the resort. Sebasco and all of Phippsburg have changed as the culture of vacation travel has evolved. Guests no longer stay for the entire summer and do not arrive with the entire family and entourage of maids, nannies and butlers in tow. The invention of the automobile and air-conditioning has improved life in the city during the summer months. However, when asked why we still do not have air conditioning here at Sebasco Harbor Resort, the answer is still, "We don't need it here on the Coast of Maine." The summer breezes still blow as they always have, and always will. You can still turn on a fan and open a window to enjoy the fresh ocean air
