Quincy, MA - Jan 19, 2005 - Passkey International, Inc., the leading
provider of group reservations management solutions, has appointed Bob
Orlando as its new senior vice president and CFO.
"We are extremely fortunate to have Bob join our executive team," said Greg Pesik, Passkey's president & CEO. "In the 20 years working in the technology sector, Bob has acquired hands-on experience in building and managing companies to bring them to profitability, and has a substantial record of developing investor relations and securing strategic financing. Bob brings significant financial knowledge to our management team, and will play a key role in the growth of our presence in the hospitality market." Before joining Passkey, Orlando held the position of vice president, CFO, treasurer and secretary at Switchboard, a leading provider of local online advertising solutions and Internet-based yellow pages, where he crafted and implemented a simpler, more coherent business model that contributed to positioning the company for sale to infoSpace, Inc. in June 2004. Prior to Switchboard, Orlando served as senior vice president finance & administration, CFO, and treasurer at Mathsoft, where he negotiated and closed three merger & acquisition transactions, which generated a significant contribution to the company's profits, bringing it to profitability, and led it through a successful IPO in 1993. "I am very pleased to be part of a company with such growth prospect," said Orlando. "I am particularly excited about Passkey's recent progress in delivering advanced integration with planner registration as well as hotel reservation systems. The combination of these efforts has fostered great progress toward becoming the open standard for group reservations management." Orlando is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, from Bentley College. About Passkey Passkey,
