 Oliver Key Appointed Hotel Manager
at the Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii

Kohala Coast, Hawaii�s Big Island, November 2, 2004 � David Roberts, Regional Vice President, Hawaii Region, and General Manager of The Fairmont Orchid, is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Key as Hotel Manager. 

Mr. Key brings 11 years of hospitality experience to the position, which involves overseeing and providing a support mechanism for hotel operations including the front office, guest services and food and beverage departments. As Hotel Manager, Mr. Key will assist the team at the 540-room resort elevate service levels, achieve financial goals and implement Fairmont Hotels & Resorts core values. 

Mr. Key began his career with Fairmont six years ago, starting at The Plaza in New York City where he worked in banquets, served as in-room dining director, and was a manager at the hotel�s signature Oak Room Restaurant & Bar.  In 2001, he transferred to The Fairmont San Francisco as director of banquets, and then was promoted to director of Food and Beverage. Prior to his career with Fairmont, Mr. Key worked in management positions at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Florida, and The Savoy Hotel in London. He is a graduate of the University of Surrey in England and holds a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Hotel & Catering Management.
