Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casinos Roll with Bartech
Minibars; Hollywood and Tampa Locations
Install Automated Minibars in 750+ rooms

BWI CORRIDOR, MD (May 26, 2004) Bartech Systems International, the worlds leading provider of automated minibars, today announced that it is supplying its versatile e-fridge® minibars to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa and Hollywood, Florida. The 250-room Tampa facility opened in March and the 500-room Hollywood facility opened May 11.

Seminole Hard Rock selected Bartech for its internal and external design flexibility, cutting-edge technology, and comprehensive software. The deal represents the company's first contract with tribal casinos in Florida. Bartech currently supplies minibars to tribal casinos in California and Connecticut as well as to casinos in Las Vegas.

We wanted a minibar system that offered both the best product presentation for our guests and low labor requirements, said Harry Cohen, Corporate Director of Purchasing for Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casinos. And as a theme property, its important for our minibars to be attractive and inviting to guests.  Bartech accomplished our objectives for function, efficiency, and design.

Bartechs automated minibar, the e-fridge®, offers guest refreshments and charges the hotel guests room automatically, eliminating billing errors and improving guest service. In the automated minibar, product is placed on sensors built into the bar shelves. When a guest removes an item, the system sends a message to the hotels Property Management System (PMS) to record the charge for it.  If the item is replaced within a pre-set time period -- typically 30 seconds the product is not recorded as consumed, however, hotel staff is alerted to check the product for tampering.

"The Seminole casinos are committed to round-the-clock guest service and our automated minibars were a perfect fit, said Bartech North America president Mark Holzberg. When Seminole Tribe decided to open two new hotel and casino resorts in Florida, they didn't want to gamble on quality or service.  Understanding their business and their customers, we were able to provide a minibar solution that met their design and product needs, while delivering the control and efficiency tools required in a 24-hour environment, he added.

Bartech automated minibars provide the ability to control and track refreshment revenues and usage.  Charges are posted directly to the property Management system in real time, minimizing guest disputes or lost revenues.  Plus, Bartech software provides the refill and reporting information to speed replenishment, eliminate expired inventory, and enhance merchandising of popular high-profit products.
