The Antlers Hotel Preparing for Brand Change; 
Miguel Martin Appointed Food and Beverage Director

Colorado Springs, CO � June 9, 2004 � The Antlers Hotel has extended its hospitality expertise with the addition of three new employees joining the management team: Miguel Martin, Food and Beverage Director; Anne Pratt, Director of Catering and Rebecca Way, Assistant Front Desk Manager.

Miguel Martin has spent 20 years refining his restaurant and management experience.  Most recently, he worked for Specialty Restaurants Corporation in Denver , where he increased the level of customer service and the quality of the menu.  Martin plans to use his ingenuity to develop new menus, focus on customer service and food quality as well as train and mentor his staff of 150 employees, including managers and supervisors.  �The management team has a vision for the Antlers Hotel and I am excited to continue and improve upon the hotel�s tradition of quality, history and loyalty,� said Martin.  �The changes at the hotel will impress our guests and the community as we strive to reach four-star status.�

Anne Pratt brings more than 20 years hospitality and catering experience back to the Antlers Hotel.  She previously worked at the Antlers Hotel from 1990 to 1999 and held positions in several operational facets including Director of Restaurants and Director of Catering during her near decade of service at the hotel.  Pratt has also worked at several other hotels in Colorado Springs bringing a full-range of experience and local perspective to the position.  As Director of Catering, Pratt will be responsible for all aspects of banquets and catering.  She plans to train her staff on the fundamentals of customer service and continue to build relationships with clients and the community.  �The Antlers Hotel is my passion and I am thrilled to be part of the team that will bring it to a four-star quality,� said Pratt.

Rebecca Way previously worked at Vail Resorts, Inc. and was responsible for training the front desk agents, bell staff and concierge desk on hospitality standards and improving the level of customer service for hotel guests.  Way will have a similar role at the Antlers Hotel.  �I am excited and honored to be part of the Antlers Hotel and use my resort knowledge to only exceed guests� expectations,� said Way.  �We hope to not only increase the volume of business travelers, but also expand our reach to entice more tourists and families to visit downtown Colorado Springs and experience the Antlers Hotel.�
 

The Antlers Hotel will experience several changes over the coming months, including a brand change and a multi-million dollar renovation project.  �The Antlers Hotel is a historic landmark in downtown Colorado Springs and the changes we have planned will only improve the image and quality of service envisioned by General Palmer when he first opened the hotel in 1883,� said Larry Vitagliano, co-owner and Managing Director of the Antlers Hotel.  �By hiring quality, experienced employees like Miguel, Anne and Rebecca, the hotel will continue to move closer to our goals.�

The Antlers Hotel was purchased in December 2003 by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (MSREF) and Pyramid Advisors, LLC, parent company of Pyramid Hotel Group. MSREF is a private real estate investment fund affiliated with and sponsored by Morgan Stanley.  Since its inception in 1991, MSREF has acquired over $25 billion in real estate in four domestic and two international funds.

Pyramid Advisors LLC was formed in 1999 as a hotel development, management, advisory and project management firm serving clients in all phases of the hospitality industry.  Principals of the Boston-based firm have a combined 75 years of senior level hospitality experience and leadership.
