Four Hotels in San Francisco, San Jose, Dublin |
March 16, 2004 - Rim Hospitality has entered
into a management agreement with Post Street Hospitality to manage the
144-room Hotel Cosmo, formerly Hotel Bedford. The hotel is currently
utilizing the Clarion reservation system. We see great opportunity
to drive business up the street from our Inn at Union Square property,
also on Post Street. We feel optimistic about San Francisco this year and
increasing our presence has been a goal of ours says Mark Burden, President.
The historic 1929 building is just 3 blocks from Union Square.
Rim Hospitality took over managing the hotels in February. "We were able to take the hotels over within three days of finalizing the agreement, states Mark LeBlanc, Vice President, Development. LeBlanc adds, "our ability to move quickly with our mobile management team is a great advantage for us. On many occasions owners or banks are ready for a change, a change that they have thought about for a while. Once they have decided, they want to act quickly and this is a great strength of our operations organization." Operations will develop a detailed marketing plan that includes Internet strategies and brand strategies in the first 30 days. "We are not going to wait for the market to turn up, we are going to create the upside" says Jay Barter, Chief Operating Officer. Rim Hospitality is a full service management company with franchised hotel and independent boutique properties. Rim Hospitality manages hotel, resort and boutique properties affiliated with nine national brands including Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and Residence Inn by Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Best Western, as well as our own Heathman Collection of upscale boutique luxury hotels. |
