Senior Execs Vote to Determine Hot List

MCLEAN, VA (Jan. 12, 2004) Who are the most extraordinary sales and marketing minds in hospitality and travel today?  The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) polled senior executives throughout the marketplace to identify the Hot List of Top 25.

There is an amazing amount of creativity, intelligence and passion in our profession, which all too often goes unrecognized, states Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI.

We see such clever campaigns and brilliant strategies all year long, and as the leading organization of sales and marketing professionals in hospitality and travel we wanted to shed some light on these individuals and create an annual hot list of the 25 Most Extraordinary Sales and Marketing Minds in Hospitality and Travel.

HSMAI asked top tier executives throughout the hospitality, travel and tourism industries to submit nominees who best exemplified the set criteria: Whose marketing strategies are truly innovative and clever?  Whose campaigns are standouts? Whose companies represent a sales focused organization?  Who gets results?  Whose work do you wish was yours?

Nominees submitted were reviewed and scored by HSMAIs Executive Committee, resulting in debut of the first annual Top 25 list.

The Top 25 have been invited to participate in HSMAIs annual Adrian Awards on Monday, January 26, 2004 in New York as an on-stage Platinum Award presenter. The black-tie event honors marketing excellence for advertising, public relations, and web marketing.    Additionally, all 25 will be featured in an article in the spring issue of HSMAIs Marketing Review.
