 Arthur Keith Named Senior Vice President, General Manager, Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Jan. 26, 2004 -- Gaylord has named Arthur Keith to lead the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center as senior vice president, general manager. Keith, 41, will succeed and report to Jay Sevigny, 44, who was recently promoted to chief operating officer, Gaylord Hotels.
    
In his new role, Keith will be responsible for all phases of the day-to-day operations of Gaylord Opryland, including sales and marketing, guest services, reservations, revenue management and human resources. Keith will join Gaylord Feb. 2.
    
"Arthur has a wealth of experience managing upscale resort and hotel properties across the country," said Sevigny. "He has a proven track record of building relationships with employees and customers that fits well with Gaylord's emphasis on high quality service. We're confident that Arthur is the leader with the right blend of skills and experience to take Gaylord Opryland Resort to the next level."
    
Keith joins Gaylord from Harrah's, where he was vice president, hotel operations for the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. He held similar positions at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino and at the Doubletree Hotel Lincoln Centre in Dallas.

Keith is a graduate of Cornell University's renowned School of Hotel Administration. He began his career as a management trainee with Stouffer Renaissance Hotel Co., and rose to become assistant general manager of the Stouffer Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, Md., one of its largest hotels.
