Hotel Continues to Record High Usage Rates |
Bethel, CT and White Plains, NY � July 23, 2003
� Renaissance Westchester Hotel in White Plains, New York, today announced
it has added the Merlot VROOMServiceTM
High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) solution to some 60 additional rooms,
bringing the total number of rooms equipped with this amenity to 170, to
meet the growing need for guests to access the Internet while traveling
for business or pleasure. Renaissance Westchester Hotel initially installed
Merlot VROOMService HSIA for guests in February 2003.
�When we originally installed Merlot VROOMService in our hotel guest and meeting rooms, we were delighted to see that the simplicity and reliability of the Merlot system was resulting in incredibly high usage rates, averaging 30 percent and exceeding 50 percent on a number of occasions,� said Tom Elwood, Renaissance Westchester General Manager. �Our decision to install these additional rooms was based on these high usage rates which obviously indicate strong customer demand for HSIA,� he added. �We are delighted to have such a high-profile and beautifully appointed property as the Renaissance Westchester on our list of satisfied clients.
