Wireless HSIA Installed at Marriott Hunt Valley and at Park Vista Memphis |
Atlanta, GA, July 30,2003
-- StayOnline, the nations only 100% wireless high-speed Internet
access provider for the hospitality industry, has added two more properties
managed by Davidson Hotel Company to its portfolio of fully-wireless hotels.
The company has completed installations at the 390-room Marriott Hunt Valley
Inn, outside Baltimore, and at the 408-room Park Vista Memphis, both of
which will roll out the co-branded StayOnline and AT& T Wireless high-speed
Internet access solution to guests later this summer.
StayOnline announced in late June that it will be co-branding its service with AT&T Wireless. Davidson Hotel Company is based in Memphis and had already announced its commitment to make the Park Vista the citys premier hotel, following acquisition of the hotel in partnership with Crow Holdings in April. The distinctive, 27-story Park Vista Memphis is undergoing a $12 million renovation and will become the Memphis Hilton in spring of 2004. Located 12 miles from the airport, the property markets itself as a key convention and meetings hotel. StayOnline has proven that its solution
works extremely well in other Davidson properties across the country and
we are pleased to bring wireless connectivity to business travelers visiting
Memphis and Baltimore, said Ron Hardin, Director of Technology for the
Davidson Hotel Company. Now that StayOnline is aligned
We call our rooms The Room that Works, said Yale Feldman, General Manager of the Marriott Hunt Valley Inn. Our hotel caters intentionally to business travelers and our rooms were designed specifically with them in mind, therefore we knew that we had to have wireless HSIA in the rooms, not just in the common areas, to meet the demands of this customer. Guests of either hotel will find StayOnlines plug and play capabilities simple to use, enabling them to bypass wires and local area access numbers for their ISPs. StayOnline also provides added layers of encryption (128 bit WEP) through its EZAir(sm) device, and enterprise level VLAN switching, enabling a more secure connection for even the casual user StayOnline is providing the next generation of connectivity to the hotel guest and business traveler by unwiring hotel guest rooms, said Antonio DiMilia, President and CEO of StayOnline. It really does the guest a disservice to promote wireless HSIA and then only offer it in the common areas of the hotel. The Davidson Hotel Company recognizes that the savvy business traveler prefers a fully wireless experience. About StayOnline, Inc.
