BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., August 14, 2003 � Robert
Thrailkill has been named general manager of the 203-room Conrad Miami,
a full-service luxury hotel which is expected to open its doors to guests
in January 2004.
Thrailkill was born in Argentina and raised in Texas. He is a graduate of the Conrad Hilton School of Restaurant and Hospitality Management at the University of Houston, where he received a bachelors degree in hotel administration. Thrailkill met his Cuban-born wife, Mariana, during his tenure at the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort in Miami during the mid 1990�s. She possesses a bachelors degree in international relations from Florida International University and is currently completing her masters degree in Spanish at the University of North Texas. �My wife and I are truly excited about returning to the Greater Miami area and such a great new luxury hotel in the Conrad portfolio,� said Thrailkill. �Both of us have been advocates for children with disabilities and learning differences for several years, and we look forward to making a contribution once again to this cause in Miami�s vibrant community.� Located in the heart of Miami�s financial district, the Conrad Miami is destined to become a recognized icon on the Miami skyline.
