Food Safety, Sanitation Courses |
LANSING, Mich., May 2003-The American Hotel & Lodging Educational
Institute (EI) will debut a new agreement with the Foodservice Operator's
Training Achievement Program (TAP) at the NRA Show in Chicago May 17-20,
2003.
Through this agreement, EI will be able to offer its customers access to high-quality, self-paced food safety, sanitation, and other food service training programs over the Internet. Widely accepted on a national basis, the online programs developed by the Foodservice Operator's Training Achievement Program offer the most up-to-date food safety and sanitation information in an easy-to-use online format that prepares trainees for all major food safety examinations. Programs offered by EI and TAP include:
In addition, four of TAP's programs have been approved by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) for continuing education hours of 15.0 hours per course towards ACF's certification and re-certification programs. "For many years, the hospitality industry has looked for a more efficient and effective way to insure that managers and employees were trained to meet mandated state and local requirements in food safety. The studies by Ohio State and the University of Illinois certainly give credence to the TAP series in meeting both of those objectives. Given that, we are most pleased to work with TAP in bringing these programs to the industry" said Wes Ardis, vice president, allied programs, Educational Institute. To learn more about TAP's food safety and sanitation programs, visit the EI web site at www.ei-ahla.org and click on "New Programs" or call 800-344-3320 or 517-372-8800 for more information. Established in 1953 as a nonprofit educational foundation of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the Educational Institute is the premier source for quality hospitality education, training, and professional certification, serving the needs and advancing the excellence of hospitality schools and industries worldwide. |
