 The Internet Is Becoming Increasingly Important to
Hotels, Chains and Management Companies;
But How Can the Smaller Players Compete
On a Level Playing Field?
April 16, 2003 - With the continued importance of the Internet in today�s hotel market segment, the demand is increasing for integrated solutions that support bookings across the net. Chains and single properties alike will lose out on all to many reservations if their technology solution does not include an Internet reservations plan. 

Ramesys Hospitality recently launched phase two of its internet/web reservations plan with the introduction of Entirety Connect, the web reservations module of the Entirety Enterprise Suite - a fully integrated group of solutions consisting of:

Companies like the Greater Lancaster Hotel and Motel Association (www.glhma.com), Lancaster, PA, recognized the opportunities available using the Internet and made it a priority of theirs to capitalize on every web hit and/or phone call into their Central Reservations Office (CRO) with a confirmed reservation. The Association uses the Entirety Enterprise Suite, consisting of Entirety CRes, Entirety Connect, Entirety Customer Relationship Management and Entirety Direct (integrated web based front desk module).    

�We chose the Entirety Enterprise Suite because it is a modular solution that offers us the ability to install components when we are in need of them. The scalability and flexibility of the solution was by far the most appealing of any system we considered,� said Jennifer Buchter, Executive Director of the Greater Lancaster Hotel and Motel Association.

Guest�s logging onto the Greater Lancaster Hotel and Motel Association website are offered a variety of lodging possibilities based on their specific criteria and their reservation is confirmed at that time. While ensuring a fair distribution across the member hotels, the Entirety Connect module offers the �best fit� based on a variety of customer requirements that include price, room attributes and geographical location. 

As an additional option, the Lancaster Association set up a manned 1-800 information and reservation service that offers real time room availability over the phone. CRO agents use the Entirety CRes module to book hotels against live availability.  

�Entirety Connect allows properties to offer alternatives once a customer gets to their website. This helps cut down on the amount of customers that are lost based on rate, availability or amenity. Additionally, Entirety Connect has the capability to recognize repeat customers with the best rates - rates that cannot be found at discount brokers,� said Andrew Sanders, Ramesys Hospitality Director of Sales and Marketing.
