Benchmark Hospitality Appoints Eileen Santoli
Vice President, Human Resources

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS, March 2003...Benchmark Hospitality has appointed Eileen Santoli vice president, human resources.  Burt Cabañas, chairman and chief executive officer, made the announcement. 

In her new position, Ms. Santoli is responsible for directing and overseeing the management of the human resources discipline for Benchmark Hospitality and its subsidiary, Benchmark Golf.  This includes company-wide recruitment, training, staff development, compensation and employee and labor relations, human resource systems, and providing direction for human resource professionals at each property.

Previously, Eileen Santoli was vice president of human resources for Interstate Hotels of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  During her decade and a half tenure with Interstate, Ms. Santoli served in a variety of positions of increasing executive responsibility at the corporate office, including, director of recruitment, director of management resources, senior director of associate relations and HR development, and vice president of human resources.   Additionally, while at Interstate, Ms. Santoli developed and implemented many of the company�s human resource policies, procedures, and employee programming.  Prior to this, Ms. Santoli was a property director of human resources for hotels managed by Interstate and also by Marriott Corporation.

A 20-year human resources professional, Eileen Santoli is a certified facilitator for a multitude of training and employee development programs, including Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Managing Interpersonal Relationships, and Teambuilding.  She has facilitated nearly 200 training programs, served as an invited speaker on human resources at many professional conferences, and written numerous employee training and development curricula. 

Eileen Santoli is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, attended the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has been active in civic organizations such as the United Way and Urban League.
