ARAMARK Harrison Lodging Announces General Manager Appointments at Two Boston Conference Centers
New to the Portfolio
PHILADELPHIA, PA March 20, 20003 ARAMARK Harrison Lodging executives Michael F. Towle and Kimberly Haskell have been promoted to general manager positions at the John Hancock Conference Center and Batterymarch Conference Center respectively, two Boston properties that recently joined the ARAMARK Harrison Lodging portfolio.  Towle was previously director of operations at The Center for Executive Education at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts and Haskell held the assistant general manager position at The Inn at Harvard and Harvard Square Hotel in Cambridge.

Both Kim and Michael are highly talented and knowledgeable hospitality professionals, said Rory Loberg, executive vice president of ARAMARK Harrison Lodging.  Batterymarch and John Hancock will reap the benefits of their expertise and management skills, and we are gratified to see them advance their careers with us.

Towle brings 30 years of conference center, hospitality and food & beverage experience to the John Hancock Conference Center.  During his 7 ½  year tenure with The Center for Executive Education at Babson College, he played a vital role in its $32 million expansion which was unveiled this past October, skills that will be put to good use during John Hancocks $2.5 million enhancement.  Throughout his career, Towle has held management positions with several hotels and restaurant groups including The Claremont Hotel in Southwest Harbor, Maine; Memory Lane Restaurant Group, a group of four restaurants in Massachusetts and New Hampshire; the Philadelphia Marriott Hotel and The Washington Hilton.  Towle holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant Management from Florida International University.

Batterymarch Conference Center, a day center that is also home to Northeasterns extension campus offering adult and continuing education classes, will benefit greatly from Haskells skills.  During her six years with The Inn at Harvard Square and Harvard Square Hotel, Haskell demonstrated her management talents in nearly every department of these sister properties, and became a valued member of the Executive Committee.  In addition to her duties as assistant general manager, Haskell also held the posts of director of rooms and risk control manager, and was very involved in budgeting and forecasting at the properties.  Her 12 years in the industry includes positions at Holiday Inns at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, Buckingham Square in Waterbury, Connecticut and Brockton, Massachusetts.  Haskell holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel/Restaurant/Institutional Management and a Master of Science in Managerial Technology, both from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Both the John Hancock Conference Center and Batterymarch Conference Center are members of the highly regarded International Association of Conference Centers (IACC).  ARAMARK Harrison Lodging currently operates seven properties in the Boston area.
