New Orleans (January 15, 2003) - Hotel Booking Solutions, a leading channel management technology provider for the online travel industry, announced today the release of its Interface End-Point Framework (IEPF) technology for interfaces in .NET and JAVA. Using the IEPF will result in an 80% or greater reduction of time and effort required by a partner to connect to HBS hobooBox channel management solution. Speed is king in travel technology, says Darin McAuliffe, President of HBS. This industry moves very fast and, to lead the pack, so must we. HBS realized that it is critical to be able to connect our hotel suppliers and distributors quickly and with minimal effort. Thats why we invested in creating this framework. The IEPF allows partners to quickly implement fully seamless two-way interfaces, which include - but are not limited to inventory, rates, restrictions, reservations, cancellations, modifications and complete confirmation number handling for all parties involved. OTA compliant XML, running over the IEPF, handles transactions and translations. The low resource requirements permit development to be completed in conjunction with other projects rather than in competition with them. "The hobooBox Interface End-Point Framework provides a much faster time-to-market, while the design improves reliability and robustness, says Michael Heinze, HBS Chief Technology Officer. "It is based on state-of-the-art technologies for compression, encryption, performance and portability, and it allows partners of HBS to easily integrate the interface to HBS' hobooBox into their internal systems."
