Baar, January 29, 2003 This year Hapimag is
celebrating its 40th anniversary with a change in direction. Through new
products and services, improved processes and a more focused organization
the group is aiming to increase its flexibility and customer orientation.
The responsibility for the implementation of the companys reorientation
and reorganization will be undertaken with immediate effect by Kurt Scholl.
The former CEO and President of the Board of Directors Marco Hartmann is
leaving the company.
Headquartered in Baar, Switzerland,
Hapimag is a leading vacation resort company and as part of its 40-year
anniversary the company is using this year to refocus its direction. The
business plan is based on the recently concluded reorganization and strategy
project which fundamentally changes the Hapimag strategy, product range
and processes and serves as the basis for creating sustained growth.
President of the Board of Directors Dr. oec. Marisabel Spitz Kaspar
sees Hapimag as becoming more flexible, customer friendlier and therefore
more attractive to our investors and partners. In addition to other changes,
products will be better fitted to suit the individual needs of existing
and future partners and the new developments in the tourism sector, and
the capacity squeeze during the high-season will be reduced as well. The
growing complexity of the processes will also be simplified and made more
efficient. Furthermore, Hapimags organization will become more focused
on its two core-competencies of tourism services and real estate. Through
these actions Hapimag seeks to continue to successfully position itself
in the dynamic vacation market and to maintain its position as a European
leader in providing top quality vacation resorts.
In view of differing opinions on the new strategic orientation of Hapimag
the Board of Directors and Marco Hartmann have agreed to dissolve their
working relationship. Under his leadership, and among his many other achievements, |
